Voice Prompts are the building blocks of voice menus, and also used for outgoing voicemail messages. To record a new voice prompt, select Voice Prompts from the top menu of your control panel.
A list of all voice prompts on your account will load. Click Record New Voice Prompt to setup a new prompt.
Enter a descriptive name for the prompt, and click Continue.
You have two ways of adding your personalised prompt.
- Dial 188 from your VoIP phone. Follow the instructions, and enter the PIN code shown next to your prompt when requested. Alternatively you can dial 0870 861 6662 or 01225 800868 from a landline telephone
- Upload a WAV file by clicking Upload
To use a voice prompt in an outgoing message, select it in the Voicemail Outgoing Message dropdown box when you click on the extension or hunt group.

I have an MP3 file, not a WAV file
If your voice prompt has been saved in a format other than WAV, there are many ways to convert the file into the correct format for our servers. One example is media.io. Simply select your file, set WAV as the output format and click convert.
