Several Lync licence types include the ability to make/receive voice calls and include a phone number. These require additional configuration outside of your Gradwell Cloud Associate control panel, as they utilise our VoIP network.
In your VoIP control panel you will need to purchase:
- SIP trunk in for each phone number sold
- SBC licence for each phone number sold (this can be purchased at the same time as the SIP trunk in)
You will also need to contact the Gradwell Support team to get the numbers added into Gradwell Cloud once purchased - please ensure that you send through all of the numbers you have configured to use the Hosted Lync service.
Please note that without completing the steps below you will be unable to assign the Lync numbers in your Associate control panel, and calls will not complete successfully.
Purchasing the correct packages
Once you have created the customer account in your VoIP control panel, purchase the required packages as above.
For the SIP trunk in package, ensure that you select Please leave my DDIs unconfigured, I will set them up later.
Configuring the SIP trunk in
Once you have purchased the packages required login as the customer. Select SIP Inbound from the menu.
Ensure that the SIP trunk is selected at the top (if you have purchased multiple numbers for the customer you can configure them all at the same time by selecting them all), and in the Update settings section ensure that you configure the following:
- Platform: select Microsoft Lync
- SIP number: tick so that E164 format is used
- Mediation server: enter 22.214.171.124
- Use SBC: tick to set to Yes
Once done, select Apply Settings.
Adding the numbers to the Lync service
After you have configured the SIP trunk email customer support and request that the numbers you have purchased for the customer are added into the Lync system.
