To use your Gradwell Cloud Drive, as an administrator (or internal user with the default permissions) you create corporate folders (also known as Shares) that you then grant access to your users to.
Within this share, users can then add files and folders, and depending on their user type may also be able to invite other users.
Via the control panel
To create a new share, log in to your control panel and select Gradwell Cloud Drive from the top menu.
Tip: If this link doesn't appear, you need to select your Gradwell Cloud Drive subscription from the dropdown menu in the top right hand corner of the control panel first.
Your Gradwell Cloud Drive user list will load. To open the administration portal select the Gradwell Cloud Drive CP button.
Select New Share.
Enter a name for the shared folder and choose the Share category. The following are available:
- Corporate: these can only be created by an admin and are usually related to the departments
- Team: these can be created by internal users when they have rights to created shares
- Private: these are similar to a user's home folder and are usually used to store data that don't belong on corporate or team shares
Once you're ready, select Save.
Your new shared folder will be setup. You can now add users or groups to it to grant access.
Via the web client
Once you are logged in to the web client, select New Share from the right side of the page.
Please note that if this button does not appear, you do not currently have the appropriate permissions to create a new shared folder.
Via the Go Files application
If you are using the Go Files application on your computer, you can create a new corporate shared folder by right clicking on an existing corporate folder, selecting Cloud Drive and then New share.
